HOW YOUR WEBSITE TAKES SHAPE

A clear journey, from first idea to launch.

Structure, design and testing each have a purpose: helping your visitors understand the business and take the next step.

Follow the steps, at your pace.
Illustrations explain the process. They are not a live activity feed.
  1. Give every page a job.

We agree your audience, key services and what visitors should do next. That becomes the page structure and content plan.

An agreed page and content plan
  2. Human decision

Make it feel like your business.

I build the agreed design around your branding and content. You review the important layouts before we refine the details.

A website you can review on real screens
  3. Human decision

Check the route to an enquiry.

We test the agreed forms, links and mobile layouts, review search foundations and plan deployment into your own hosting account.

    Launch checks and handover guidance
THE WORK INVOLVED

Know what you’re getting.

A clear page plan

Agree the audience, page list, enquiry route and content responsibilities before choosing a platform. The listed packages cover brochure and service websites.

Build the agreed website

Create the agreed layouts, add your approved content and configure the contact form. Check responsive layouts, links and core search metadata.

Handover in your accounts

Your hosting, domain and paid apps stay in accounts you own and pay directly. Deployment assistance, access handover and any ongoing support are agreed separately from supplier bills.

Accounts, extra costs and support

Your quote confirms the final price, any applicable VAT, delivery dates and included support. Development tools used by CDM are included in the scoped fee. Hosting, domains and paid applications belong to you, with direct supplier billing. Deployment and optional ongoing care are agreed separately. Custom functionality, integrations and runtime AI/API charges apply only to separately approved features.

BEFORE WE START

A few useful answers.

Who owns and pays for hosting?

You own the hosting, domain and paid application accounts and pay suppliers directly. CDM does not sell new standalone or reseller hosting packages. Deployment/setup and ongoing support are scoped separately. Existing customers keep the commitments in their original agreements.

What counts as a page?

One agreed brochure or service page within the reusable layouts. Product catalogues, member areas, dashboards, bespoke integrations, migrations of large archives and multilingual variants are separate work. The proposal lists the pages and features before work starts.

What does optional maintenance include?

The listed £99, £89 and £79 monthly amounts are package-specific care rates alongside the Starter/Essential, Growth and Premium builds. Each covers a monthly check of the delivered pages and contact form, supported CMS/plugin updates where applicable, and up to 30 minutes of routine text/image changes. The lower rate accompanies the larger initial build; it is not a larger support allowance. Hosting fees, supplier outages, incident recovery, new functionality and unused time rolling over are excluded unless separately agreed. No 24/7 monitoring or response-time guarantee is included.

What happens after launch?

The included one-, two- or three-month period covers correcting defects in the work specified in your quote. Send requests by email; new features and content changes are separately scoped. Optional care begins only if you choose it, with payment and cancellation terms in writing.

Will a redesign preserve my search visibility?

An agreed URL map and redirect checks reduce migration risk. Rankings can still change. Ongoing SEO, large content migrations and remediation of pre-existing problems are not included in a website package.

THE NEXT PIECE

SEO

A website build includes the agreed search foundations. Ongoing content, technical improvements and reporting are a separate service.
